If you choose to birth in a Metro South Health Hospital, you will need a referral from your GP or your private midwife.
Once your chosen Metro South Hospital receives the referral from your GP, we will process your information and send out an appointment letter for your booking in visit with us. The earlier we receive your referral and online registration details, the sooner we can commence the booking in process.
Your appointment letter will have the date and time for your 'booking in visit' at the hospital or community venue, which is usually scheduled around 12 - 14 weeks.
